Dream Concert, one of K-pop's largest annual events, is returning this year in a new online format with a lineup featuring some of the top South Korean acts who will appear in remotely filmed performances that incorporate VR technology and multi-cams to ensure fans enjoy the experience to the fullest.

Hosted by the Korea Entertainment Producer's Association (KEPA), Dream Concert has been running since 1995, returning each year with bigger stages and a wider range of artistes. Here's everything you need to know about the show's 2020 edition.

When

'Dream Concert — CONNECT:D' will be held on July 25 and 26 at 5 am PT / 9 pm KST on both days.

Host and lineup

Kim Yo Han has been confirmed as the host of Dream Concert 2020's online live broadcast. Han originally debuted as a member of X1 in 2019 and has since appeared in several variety programs in addition to preparing for another debut, this time as a part of the new boy group WEi.

The live online festival will include performances and appearances from 22 K-pop acts. Day one of the concert will feature EXO-SC, Red Velvet (with a second performance from the group's subunit featuring Irene & Seulgi), Oh My Girl, ASTRO, Golden Child, South Club, Kim Jae Hwan, AB6IX, ONEUS and CIX. Day two includes MAMAMOO, Lovelyz, WJSN, Ha Sung Woon, Weki Meki, Jeong Sewoon, The Boyz, Stray Kids, ITZY, Rocket Punch and CRAVITY.

What to expect

K-pop has made a name for itself owing to everything from its top-notch vocals and highly synchronized dancing to its high fashion and remarkable stages. Fans can expect to see all that and more at 'CONNECT:D'. Additionally, the virtual iteration of the festival is being assisted by VR and EX-3D sound technology along with multi-cams as a way for the organizers to make the performances feel as close to a real concert as possible.

Most importantly, the decision to take the concert online stemmed from KEPA recognizing how much these joint concerts mean to fans, particularly during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and they have shared their hope that 'CONNECT:D' will help viewers find hope and courage during these trying times. So be sure to tune in and be ready to party along with your favorite K-pop idols.

Tickets

The 2-day pass which allows fans to watch both days of the concert will cost 5,500 won (approximately $4.6). Further details about purchasing will be listed on The K-POP's YouTube Channel.

Where to watch

The show will be streamed via the YouTube Channel, The K-POP, a one-stop-shop for live K-pop streaming that runs 24/7. The lineup for Dream Concert as well as video messages from all participating acts can be viewed via The K-POP's Twitter account.
