'A Holly Dolly Christmas' will be the 'Jolene' singer's first holiday album in 30 years! Previously, Parton released 'Once Upon A Christmas' with Kenny Rogers in 1984, and 'Home For Christmas' in 1990. Here's all you need to know about the country legend's upcoming holiday album.
Release date
'A Holly Dolly Christmas' will be available worldwide on October 2, 2020, by Parton's Butterfly Records in partnership with 12Tone Music Group. The album has been produced by Parton and Kent Wells; the Nashville-based Grammy-nominated producer known for working with musicians such as Katie Bates, Paul Anka, Jimmie Van Zant, The Grascals and The Roosters, among others.
Concept
In a statement about the upcoming album, Parton said, "I figured since everybody probably wouldn’t get to celebrate Christmas as usual this year, I wanted to be creative instead of sitting around at the house this summer. So I put on my mask, gloves and practiced social distancing, as well as all of the wonderful musicians and singers, and we proceeded to put together what I think is some of the best work that I’ve ever done."

Over 43 minutes in length and consisting of 12 songs, the track-list of 'A Holly Dolly Christmas' is as follows:

Michael Bublé sings on 'Cuddle Up, Cozy Down Christmas'; Jimmy Fallon helps on 'All I Want for Christmas Is You'; and Dolly's brother, Randy Parton, joins her for 'You Are My Christmas'. Perhaps most excitingly for country fans, Willie Nelson appears to duet on a new version of his 1963 single 'Pretty Paper'.
