Ewan McGregor's daughter Clara gets bitten by dog in face, still attends premiere
Actor Ewan McGregor’s daughter Clara was bitten in the face by a dog. But that did not stop her from making a graceful appearance at a film premiere at The Mob Museum in Las Vegas on Friday, June 11. But she did have to go to the emergency room prior to that.
The 25-year-old actor took to Instagram on Sunday, June 13, with a shot of herself on the red carpet at the premiere of the movie ‘The Birthday Cake’, sporting injuries on her nose and under her eye. She captioned the post: “When a dog bite lands you in the ER 30 mins before the red carpet ... thank you @themobmuseum for having us, @thebirthdaycakemovie comes out in theaters and on VOD June 18th!”

Ewan McGregor's model daughter Clara calls him an 'a**hole' who left her 'goddess of a mother'
The film, co-produced by Clara and starring Ewan McGregor (alongside Val Kilmer, Shiloh Fernandez, Lorraine Bracco, and more) tells the story of a man called Giovanni, played by Fernandez, who reluctantly keeps up the family tradition of bringing a cake to commemorate the anniversary of his mafia-boss father's death to his uncle Angelo's (Kilmer) house.
In the many photos shared on her Instagram by Clara, one can see her donning a khaki three-piece suit by Fendi. She posed for photos at the event with her younger sister Esther; and the film's director Jimmy Giannopoulos, and actors Joe D'Onofrio and Tyler Dean Flores. But she also sneaked in a photo from what looks like the emergency room where she can be seen flipping someone off good-naturedly.
The father-daughter duo has had a tumultuous relationship. In January 2018, McGregor filed for divorce from his wife Eve Mavrakis, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized on 13 August 2020. During his separation, McGregor began a relationship with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, whom he met on the set of FX’s anthology series ‘Fargo’.
Following that, Clara commented on an Instagram post from Winstead, calling her a piece of trash. She reportedly wrote: "Most beautiful and talented woman on earth??? oh man y’all are delusional. The girl is a piece of trash.”
She expressed her regret later, however. "It wasn't the most mature way to go about things, but I was angry and upset," she shared in an interview with The Times. "There had been a lot building up to it and a lot to deal with — not to make excuses or anything — but, yeah, it wasn't my finest moment."
She followed it up with: "I'm not afraid to speak out if I feel strongly about something." And as the aspiring actress explains, back then, "I kept being tagged in this photograph and I was seeing negative things about my mom. I said how I felt and I didn't want to apologize for it. It wasn't the right way to go about things, but it's a hard thing to wrap your head around when you feel you had this idea of what the family unit is and then to have that shift. It's very weird."
Despite this, she continued to call out her father. In 2019, Clara, while on holiday with her mother Mavrakis and sister Esther, posted a beach photo of her mother in a bikini. "My mother, ladies & gentlemen," she wrote, adding pointedly: "50 is the new 30 apparently."
However, one of her followers commented: "Good to know you have the genes... keep her away from your boyfriends,” and she responded with, "I keep her away from a**hole men who leave my goddess of a mother," accompanied by a smiling face emoji.
