Does ‘Zootopia 2’ have a post-credits scene? You’ll want to stay for the unexpected surprise
‘Zootopia 2’ just hit the screens, and it’s winning hearts. Disney’s new animated film, directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, is made on a budget of $150 million, and it’s expected to make a splash at the box office. These days, a large majority of moviegoers look forward to watching the end credits of the film. Nowadays, several films, especially those that are part of a franchise, comprise additional footage at the end to drop hints about the next instalments or provide some bonus content to the viewers. The first film of the hit franchise ‘Zootopia’, which saw the light of day in 2016, consisted of a post-credits scene. So now, the fans are wondering if they have to stick around till the end of the second film for a post-credits scene or not. Don’t fret, we have got you all covered.
In case you’re pondering, let us share with you that ‘Zootopia 2’ has multiple scenes in the credits, and you should not miss those scenes for the world. As per a report by Just Jared, just like the first film, the credits are shown as Shakira’s character Gazelle performs a concert. At that point, all the viewers will get to see the names appear in the credits. In addition to this, there is also a bonus scene at the end of the credits reel. In that particular scene, the fans will witness Judy Hopps in her apartment and playing a voice recording from Nick, telling her that he loves her. Judy continues to play Nick’s sweet confession over and over. The scene gives the fans an update that all’s well between Judy and Nick.
At one point, Judy’s neighbour gets annoyed by her actions and loudly asks through the wall if she's going to listen to it all night. Soon after, another neighbour enters the conversation and tells the other neighbour to leave Judy alone and let her be. With the bonus scene, the makers of the hit franchise also seemingly teased the fans with Judy’s next case, which revolves around a rabbit who strangled her neighbour, joking that she’s going to do that to one of her neighbours. As the film draws to an end, a feather glides down from above and lands on her windowsill.
During an interview with Polygon, the ‘Zootopia 2’ co-creator Howard candidly spoke about the potential spin-offs of the famous franchise. Then, Howard shared, “It is endless, I think, because it is built around the fact that [just watching] the normal functioning of the world is entertainment itself.” On the other hand, Carrie Liao, the co-head of story, went on to say, "There's so much room still to play in the world of Zootopia. I am sure there are other animals I want to see, other environments that exist in our real world that it's like, ‘Well, will we get to see that in Zootopia?’”
