'Do you like Brahms?' Episode 6 ended with Song-ah (Park Eun-bin) telling Joon-young (Kim Min-jae) that she doesn't want to just be friends with him, that she doesn't want to be the kind of friend who would just be there for him when he is struggling and not know what he is struggling with. Song-ah had expected Joon-young to share his troubles with her at this point, but instead, he apologizes and that is about it. Then, when he rejoins the university to complete his studies and sees Song-ah there, he tries to talk to her but she unable to because she has come to realize that she likes him. She confesses to him too and with that ending, we saw how the promo panned out for the next episode.

From the promo of the upcoming episode, though, it looks like the two do get closer to each other. It might not really mean that Joon-young accepts her confession, but that he is just continuing to be a good friend to her. This growing friendship between the two of them ends up gaining the attention of faculty members that both of them belong too and the students as well. The gossip begins to spread far and wide and Joon-young, unfortunately, hears about it from none other than his professor who is forcefully scheduling himself as Joon-young's teacher.

However, this professor has nothing good to say and calls Song-ah names. He even says that the woman who is going around gaining attention is doing so intentionally and is enjoying the benefits of being Joon-young's acquaintance and the popularity that comes from it. Joon-young does say that Song-ah is not such a person but he begins to get uncomfortable with the kind of talk that is going around in the university about him and Song-ah.

What is worse is that Song-ah's professor too wonders if Joon-young and Song-ah are dating and when she sees the two of them speaking to each other in the hallway of the university, she asks them directly about the gossip that has spread within the students of the university. So Joon-young, who is initially shocked, manages to reveal that the rumors are not true and that there is nothing between him and Song-ah. This abrupt and brash behavior makes Song-ah uncomfortable as it made the entire ordeal seem as if it was nothing but her attempt at gaining more visibility and if possible, some work too. So we hear her confront Joon-young and tell him that she finds all of this unfair.

Will this misunderstanding be the end of the relationship for Joon-young and Song-ah?

'Do you like Brahms?' airs on SBS on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 pm KST and can be streamed on Viki Global.
