A recent Twitter rumor that PewDiePie and Marzia Kjellberg, his Italian-American wife, were expecting a Black child confused a lot of people. Together with Marzia, PewDiePie had relocated to Japan to avoid the spotlight. The couple got married in 2019 and have made several joint YouTube appearances since then.

Given their ethnicities, this may be termed as a genuinely bizarre and puzzling update unless adoption or an IVF donor is involved. In spite of this, social media users took the 'news' to be true and wondered if PewDiePie was the father of a Black child.
