'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' Episode 8: Jun's confession to Ra-ra leads to a lovely date and a kiss
'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' Episode 8 begins with Ra-ra (Go Ara) telling Dr. Cha that she would have to reject him. He hasn't even gotten a word out about why he grabbed her hands inside the theater and she has already rejected him. While fans felt extremely creeped out by the move, it is clear that Ra-ra has never been interested in Dr. Cha. This is despite having suspicions about how he could be the person behind her fan account. Instead, when Jun (Lee Jae-wook), who had made dinner for her and waited to eat with her rushes to the theater with the hopes of stopping her from spending any more time than necessary with Dr. Cha arrives, she follows him without hesitation proving how much she trusts him.
Then over the episode, we also begin to see how Ra-ra doesn't just trust him but she has also developed feelings for him. Of course, at this point, she has no clue about Jun's true background, his real age, or for that matter, even his connection to the young boy who had claimed to be her biggest fan and had attended her concert. So before all of that surfaces, Jun uses the opportunity to ensure that he can reveal his feelings for her. He decides to confess and begins to train to play a particular piece of a song that he knows will impress her and he practices the same over nights and days before he is finally ready to open up to her. Meanwhile, Ra-ra manages to find Jaemin's father so that she can convince him to let the little boy play at a competition. She hopes that this will help her attract more students and earn money which she can then use to repay all the debt that she has piled up.
As she continues working hard, Jun continues to fall a little harder and that's how we see him finally realize that it is time to tell Ra-ra how he feels. So he begins by playing a song about the pleasure of love and this leads to Ra-ra being touched. She tells him that his technique may not be up to mark, but that this was the performance that managed to touch her the most. So she tells him that she will grant him a wish and this can be anything. Jun ends up asking her out on a date and the two of them end up going on a cable car ride as they enjoy a brilliant scene of sunset.
When Jun tells Ra-ra that he likes her more than just a friend, he makes it simple. His confession, the kiss, and even the date is all simple but filled with moments that are heartwarming and it is touching to see these two characters work their way towards each other. Ra-ra likes Jun too, but now, the biggest obstacle in their relationship is going to be none other than Jun's family. The thug that Jun's mother had employed to find his whereabouts has managed to track him down to La La Land piano studio and we wonder how things will now pan out for all of them.
'Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol' will air on KBS2 on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Seoul, South Korea, and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
