'Inside Out 2' Fans' Review: Disney's latest hits close to home, leaves viewers bawling

The animated movie,' Inside Out 2' is directed by Kelsey Mann and stars Amy Poehler and Maya Hawke

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fans are reeling with enthusiasm as Disney's latest animated film 'Inside Out 2' has finally made its premiere on June 14, 2024.

The movie which transports you back to Riley Andersen's (Kensington Tallman) brain headquarters is the sequel to the 2015 film 'Inside Out'.

The storyline of the sequel revolves around Riley, who is now a teenager navigating the challenges of high school life. The film delves further into her thoughts, presenting new feelings such as Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Ennui (Adèle Exarchopoulos), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), and Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser).

The plot delves into how Riley's new emotions influence her relationships and choices, as well as how the original emotions, such as Joy and Sadness, must work together to restore balance, eventually assisting Riley in reconciling with her friends and accepting her growing sense of self. 

'Inside Out 2' leaves fans teary-eyed

As soon as the film had its theatrical premiere, fans flocked on X to give their opinions on it, with many claiming that it left them emotional.

Sharing the same opinion a fan said, "Went to the movies to watch inside out 2 and i walked out bawling my eyes out." 

An emotional fan said, "I ugly cried at Inside Out 2. It pulled every emotion from me. Going to need you in o make a Riley movie every 10 years, Pixar. They are good for the soul. #InsideOut2."

Another added, "I just watched inside out 2 and it was so beautiful and such a great progression of the original I loved it so much and of course cried my guts out." 

"Inside Out 2 is great!," simply said another fan.

"WAIT INSIDE OUT 2 IS A AMAZING SEQUEL?? WE WIN I LOVED THE FIRST MOVIE," said an excited fan. 

The Internet heaps praise on 'Inside Out 2'

Fans also praised the film for being relatable and making them laugh and cry, with one calling it Pixar's greatest.

The fan expressed his view and remarked, "Came back from the theater an OH MY GOD inside out 2 was a great movie it made me relate, laugh and cry hands down one the best pixar movies on my list InsideOut2."

"I just saw Inside Out 2 and all I can say is WOW! This is the best Pixar movie in years and a return to form for the Studio! It will especially resonate with people who have mental health struggles."

Showering appreciation for the movie another fan said, "INSIDE OUT 2: gives me great joy to tell you this is outstanding. Far and above the best Pixar feature in years. Gorgeously animated, brilliantly written, fast paced, surprisingly tense throughout, and like the first one, very thematically powerful. Fantastic sequel."
