Did Rihanna lip-sync during Super Bowl LVII Halftime performance? Fans are not impressed with 'underwhelming performance'
GLENDALE, ARIZONA: Rihanna's Super Bowl LVII halftime performance, which was her first live performance since 2019, has failed to impress fans. Dressed in a custom red jumpsuit that revealed her baby bump, the singer began the show with 'B***ch Better Have My Money!', and went on to sing hits like 'Where Have You Been?' and 'Only Girl'. Social media, however, is speculating that she lip-synced during her performance.
She became the first woman to headline a Super Bowl halftime show while pregnant. A representative for the star confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the superstar is pregnant after her halftime show.

'Rihanna couldn’t even lip-sync well'
Fans speculating Rihanna lip-synced during the show slammed her, with one user saying, "Imagine the serve it would be if Rihanna brought out Tatianna and Alyssa Edwards to lip-sync while she performs Shut Up and Drive." Another said, "Could have at least brought someone out to lip-sync battle Rihanna and make this interesting." "Rihanna’s lip-sync track is off. Badly. If you’re going to get artists to show up and lip-sync, you could just pay for the music rights, hire a dance troupe and show a 10-story poster of the artist," said one user, while another wrote, "#AppleMusicHalftime Rihanna couldn’t even lip-sync well. Such an underwhelming performance at the #SuperBowl".

'Her band wasn’t even playing the instruments'
"I kept asking @GoodHumorGrl if she thought Rihanna was singing live because it seemed to me like a lip-sync. (no huffing or heavy breathing) I also expected a lot more pizzazz - water, diamond lights, etc. The hovering was cool, but meh," one user wrote, while another said, "I would’ve been ok with a more low key performance if she at least had sang live. Also her band weren’t even playing the instruments they were holding. It was weird". One user said, "This #SuperBowl halftime show honest to good God is awful. They’re not even hiding the lip-sync anymore. The dancers are putting in more effort than Rihanna is on stage. Stop using #SuperBowlLVII rehashes for entertainers. This is just sad." "I hear that many enjoyed the Rihanna performance, but I found myself underwhelmed by the expensive stage and the medley of lip-sync hits. Perhaps if the NFL actually paid cash instead of just exposure, the talent with no need of more exposure wouldn't phone it in," one user wrote.
