Pokimane emphasized that facial structure continues to evolve even in the early stages of adulthood.
Drawing upon her journey, the streamer provided multiple compelling reasons to dissuade individuals from undergoing the surgery. Instead, she encouraged young people who feel dissatisfied with their chubby cheeks to exercise patience and observe if their jawline naturally becomes more defined over time.

'I didn't like my chubby cheeks'
In the TikTok video, Imane, widely known as Pokimane, commenced by sharing a throwback picture of herself, highlighting the notable disparities in her facial features. "I never realized how much my face has changed until I saw this old photo of myself."
The popular 27-year-old streamer clarified that the photograph she presented was taken five years ago when she possessed plumper cheeks compared to her current appearance. "This was me at 21, I'm 27 now and I see so many people talk about buccal fat removal and young people like hating their chubby cheeks so I want to tell you what I told myself at this age when I didn't like my chubby cheeks." Pokimane expressed in the TikTok video.
She candidly disclosed that she had to confront the reality of resembling a 'baby' but understood that her future self would value the decision of not undergoing the surgery at a young age. "I told myself, 'Okay, I might hate that I look like a baby now, but I'll appreciate it when I'm older.'"
Expanding on her perspective, the influential Twitch personality emphasized that facial structures continue to develop well into a person's twenties, assuring the youth that they need not overly concern themselves with the appearance of their jaws and cheeks in their early twenties. "And after losing some facial fat throughout my 20s, I gotta tell you, I do appreciate it. So, just a friendly reminder, especially to anyone who's young. Like throughout your 20s, your face will still continue to change a little bit," she said.
