A TikTok dance by Addison was seen on camera by Twitter user @nonbinarybooty, who wrote, “People love laughing at this video when [Addison] attended Louisiana State University and wrote her senior thesis on the complexities of social media and the demand to consistently perform for the masses. This video was mentioned in her thesis as a social experiment.”

Even though Addison's tweet appeared to be a joke, the comments noted that the caption might have been offensive. One person said, “Stealing jobs from those more deserving, very classy.”Another person continued, “I attended journalism school for two years and worked as an intern for an additional 1.5 years. Since I was never hired, I was forced to change careers. Thanks for the information.”
