‘Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2021’: Full List of Performers from Jennifer Lopez to MGK and Maluma

This will be the first time when Dick Clark’s annual New Year’s event won’t have a live audience. President-elect Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will also appear on the special broadcast

Entering in its 49th year, Dick Clark's New Year's special event is all set to enthrall you with its stellar line-up of global artistes. The special event is called ‘Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2021’ and will be aired on the ABC network. Seacrest will host the event for the 16th time and he will be joined by Lucy Hale and Billy Porter in Times Square.

Apart from these talented hosts, Ciara will return to oversee the Los Angeles festivities for the fourth year in a row while Big Freedia will host the central time zone celebration from New Orleans. 

This will be the first time when Dick Clark’s annual New Year’s event won’t have a live audience. The Times Square celebrations will be closed to the public due to COVID safety protocols.

Speaking about the event happening during Coronavirus, Tim Tompkins, president of the Times Square Alliance, said in a press release, as reported by Billboard, “One thing that will never change is the ticking of time and the arrival of a New Year at midnight on December 31st. But this year there will be significantly new and enhanced virtual, visual and digital offerings to complement whatever limited live entertainment or experiences still in development will take place in Times Square.” If we talk about the performers, here’s how the list looks like. 

Jennifer Lopez

The 51-years-old surely enjoyed her year with tracks like ‘Pa Ti,’ ‘Me Gusta’ and ‘In The Morning,’ and she is expected to belt out the same for her live audience. For the unversed, global pop star will headline the New Year’s special event from Times Square as she will groove to her hit numbers minutes before the iconic ball drop.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus released her fresh album ‘Plastic Hearts’ in November 2020 and she is expected to perform the tracks from the same. The former Disney star might nail her New Year’s performance with songs like ‘Midnight Sky’ and ‘Prisoner’.

Megan Thee Stallion

The 25-year-old proved to be one of the biggest hip-hop artistes of 2020. She took home some of the major awards and also released a few bangers. She dropped her debut album ‘Good News’ in November 2020. Apart from ‘WAP,’ and ‘Savage,’ the female emcee might perform her other hit numbers like ‘Body’ and ‘Don’t Stop’.

Doja Cat

Another female emcee from the hip-hop circle, Doja Cat will hit the stage of ‘Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2021’ with her top singles like ‘Shimmy,’ ‘Boss Bi**ch,’ and ‘Baby, I’m Jealous’ with Bebe Rexha.

Machine Gun Kelly

Machine Gun Kelly dropped his first number-one album called ‘Tickets to My Downfall’ in September 2020 and therefore, he is expected to perform his tracks from the same for the special broadcast event. He might belt out ‘Bloody Valentine’ and ‘Forget Me Too’ among others. 

Maluma

The 26-year-old singer-songwriter is one of the top global artistes. He will mesmerize the online audience with his hit singles like ‘Hawai,’ ‘Parce,’ ‘Pa Ti’ with Jennifer Lopez and ‘Feel The Beat’ which he had released recently with Black Eyed Peas.

Lewis Capaldi

The 24-years-old Scottish singer-songwriter rose to fame with his track ‘Before You Go’ and we can surely expect him to perform his breakthrough hit on the New Year’s. The talented crooner might also mesmerize his fans with songs liKe ‘Someone You Loved’ and ‘Forever.’

24kGoldn with Iann Dior

One of the newest artistes on the block, 24kGoldn and Iann Dior will perform their single ‘Mood’ as they did the same in other awards ceremonies. The song is one of the biggest tracks of 2020 and it will surely be a big hit with the viewers.
 
Apart from the above-listed musicians, we will also see artistes like Billy Porter, Cyndi Lauper, Jimmie Allen, PJ Morton, Nelly, Ciara, JP Saxe, Julia Michaels, En Vogue, Ella Mai, and Brandy hitting the stage. President-elect Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will also appear on ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2021.

Speaking in a joint statement, Amy Thurlow, president of Dick Clark productions and Craig Erwich, the president of Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment, said, “In a year marked with many challenges, we are honored that President-Elect Joe Biden and Dr. Biden will join America’s most-watched tradition — ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ to share an inspiring message as we come together to close out 2020 and look ahead with hope to 2021,” as reported by Deadline.

Viewers can catch the special broadcast on the ABC network. The event will air on Thursday, December 31, at 8 pm ET with a screening time of five-and-a-half hours. The audience sitting at home can also tune in to the virtual event via ABC.com or the ABC app.
