Big Sean brought his big energy to the halftime performance at the Thanksgiving kick-off game between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears Thursday, November 25 but things went wrong when the crowd did not respond as per his expectations. The Detroit native opened his act while walking around the stadium but none of the fans present at the venue seemed interested in his antics.

The 33-year-old hip-hop star seemed to get a rather cold reception from the audience as the rapper tried his best to hype his performance. Detroit Lions later lost to the Chicago Bears by a score of 16-14. Prior to the game, Bears had lost five straight games while Detroit Lions were still looking for their first win. The latter’s poor performance in the past had already left a bad impression on the fans- the brunt of which was faced by Big Sean. The multi-platinum rapper soon grabbed one of the top spots on the trending list as social media users trolled him brutally.

Big Sean gets roasted over halftime performance

Big Sean looked dapper in his all-black casual outfit as he performed at Ford Field stadium but that did not save him from getting slammed on the micro-blogging site. While a majority of the social media users trolled the rapper for a bad performance others claimed that he was terrible at lip-syncing. Renowned country singer-songwriter Luke Combs was another musician who was trolled after he was seen having a gala time between the Dallas Cowboys' home football game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

This is not the first time when an artist has got such a cold response from the audience. Recently, DJ Khaled got the meme treatment for his awkward performance at YouTubers vs TikTokers boxing event in June 2021. Silence engulfed the Hard Rock Cafe in Miami, Florida as the iconic producer tried his best to interact with the crowd. DJ Khaled’s attempts to hype the crowd failed as not even a single fan sang along with him.

‘The Lions lost cause of Big Sean’

With an intention to roast Big Sean, one user said, “Detroit Lion fans looked so confused when Big Sean got up and started performing.” Another posted, “Just when I thought this Bears-Lions game couldn’t make me any more su!cid@l they bring Big Sean out to perform.”  One individual asserted, “Big Sean singing ‘Bounce back’ is like the most tone deaf thing ever “Last night took an L but tonight I bounce back”??? Bro.. Lions are 0-9-1 they’ve been taking L’s and haven’t bounced back.”

The next one posted, “Not only are they forcing us to watch the Lions, they making us sit thru a Big Sean halftime performance. what we do to deserve this.” Another stated, “Great energy from @BigSean. Too bad the crowd was tough… I mean it is the #Lions. I get it. But what a lovely message at the end!” One added, “The lions lost cause of big sean lol.”  Meanwhile, one claimed, “The reason the Lions lost is because Big Sean is terrible at lip-syncing.” Most of the social media users blamed Sean for the Lions' loss as one said: "The 0-9 detroit lions are bad enough we don’t need to add big sean to this too man come on."
