LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood beauty Denise Richards thanked her friends and fans for offering support to her family nearly a fortnight after a driver shot at the vehicle she was traveling in with her husband Aaron Phypers in a road rage incident.

The 51-year-old actress was sitting in the passenger seat while her husband was driving their Ford F-150 to a studio in Los Angeles when a driver of another vehicle began a verbal dispute. Aaron, 50, exchanged words with the man and ultimately drove away from the situation. Upon arriving at the set, the couple realized that the individual allegedly shot the back of their truck. However, both Denise and Aaron were grateful they were not injured in the November 14 incident.

"I want to give my sincerest thanks to all who have reached out to me and Aaron during this time," she posted on her social media accounts. "We are both very grateful to be safe." She added, "The love and support from all of you has been overwhelming!! We are so thankful for each and every one of you."

Denise was "very shaken up and terrified" on set in the aftermath of the incident, but still filmed the entire day, sources told People. "She didn't want to not show up to work," the insider added. "The production company made her feel safe, but they didn't file a police report. They think now that people were after the car itself because it's worth a lot of money."

The former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star also responded to a troll who said they hoped she would have "taken a grazing shot" to her neck. "Don’t care kinda hope she would have taken a grazing shot to the neck honestly," one Twitter user wrote, as quoted by Page Six. Denise replied, "Thank you. I would never wish any harm on anyone. What I experienced yesterday with my husband, not that you care. Was the most terrifying situation I have ever been in. I’m sorry a shot didn’t graze my neck…a--hole." Twitter eventually took down the user's tweet as it "violated" the platform's rules, per Fox News.

MEAWW previously reported how Denise and Aaron were headed to a studio in the Chesterfield Square neighborhood of South Los Angeles. Aaron was apparently having trouble navigating his way around the area and locating the studio. His confused driving apparently annoyed the driver behind them, who yelled at the couple while trying to get past their truck. After a while, Aaron let the frustrated driver get past him. However, the irked driver shot at the couple’s truck, hitting the back end of the driver’s side while on his way.

It was reported that Denise was shell-shocked after the traumatic road rage incident and arrived on the set sobbing. The couple was fortunate that neither of them was injured in the incident, but their truck now bears a mark to remind them of the harrowing ordeal. Reports suggest someone from the production team noticed the bullet hole at the back of the truck and called 911. It is unclear if a police report was taken.
