Demi Lovato and JoJo to drop 'Lonely Hearts Remix' by August-end, fans say vocal queens will 'slay' it

The striking starlets will be joining forces on a rework of the 'Lonely Hearts' single, which was originally released by JoJo on her 'Good To Know' album in May

Popstar Demi Lovato will be teaming up with a fellow pop queen, the R&B singer JoJo, on a new collaborative remix that drops at the end of this month, on August 28. On August 5, it was revealed that the pair's highly-anticipated partnership will take shape in the form of a brand-new track titled 'Lonely Hearts Remix', which the singers had worked on from their respective homes due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. JoJo had previously released the original 'Lonely Hearts' song in April this year, as the promotional single from her new album 'Good To Know', which dropped on May 1, 2020.

Considering the track talks about a fragile lover who is working on self-love and self-improvement in their relationship, Lovato is a great fit for the heartfelt and introspective mood of the song. The poignant lyrics include the lines: "How can I work on me if I'm working on your body? / I thought we were meant to be, but we never really got it, did we? / I know one thing  Lonely hearts won't break." JoJo's soaring and delicate vocals on this version are sure to perfectly complement the tender yet powerhouse delivery that Lovato is capable of belting out. Both singers had announced their upcoming collab on social media recently. JoJo had posted on Twitter and Instagram a few hours ago, saying "🧡🧡💔🧡🧡🧡 “Lonely Hearts (Remix)” w the INCREDIBLE Demi Lovato. I can’t wait for you to hear her on this 😩👀😍 August 28th, 2020. ps- you’re a real one baëb. @ddlovato." The tweet was accompanied by a picture of the striking duo together, which appears to be the promo artwork for the upcoming single remix.

JoJo also later professed her admiration for Lovato with another tweet, which read "Love u beauty." Notably, Lovato recently announced her engagement to her new beau, the actor Max Ehrich, so it looks like she's getting plenty of warmth and affection from all quarters of late.

JoJo also made it clear that she was really enjoying the new version of the track, saying it was straight-up lit. Her latest tweet revealed that it was a "FIRE edit," so fans are certainly in for a treat when the single drops on August 28. 

Lovato was also sharing the good news on her social media by retweeting JoJo's original post, and also added one of her own, which read "Lonely Hearts (Remix) @iamjojo... Out August 28th!!"

Naturally, fans of both singers are pretty excited to see this collaboration come to fruition. One fan exclaimed, "Two vocal queens can't wait for this."

Another admirer couldn't even believe that the dream team-up was actually happening, saying it was too good to be true. 

Another follower noted, "So excited... this makes 2020 so much better."

One emotional fan also declared that the thrilling news was too much for their heart to take.

As another excited fan concluded, the vocals were guaranteed to be a killer affair.
