Spoilers for 'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 Episode 13 'Bomb Cyclone'

It might have been a rewarding day for the skippers of the Cornelia Marie, Wizard, Summer Bay and Southern Wind, but not before each of them faced some resistance from the raging bomb cyclone as it gave them a taste of nature's fury. It was a simple lesson of working hard and weathering the storm so they could yield better returns.

The Cornelia Marie had a simple game plan: they set their pots in the planned spot and were rewarded richly for that gut instinct. With a young crew bringing in the raring-to-go attitude, they maximized most of their time in getting in some rich hauls and making crabbing fun at the same time. Keith Colburn takes the reins from brother Monte and they set off close to the Russian border to rake in the crabs. They do run into a fire issue caused due to an electric short, but they patch it up and continue with their mission.

Steve Harley Davidson finally catches some crab on his own. After earning the wrath of fans for stealing other skippers' crabs, the man decides to finally do his own thing as he hits the US-Russia sea border braving the storm. In the end, it was worth it and you could see Harley beaming with pride as the once empty pots were brimming with Opilio crab. Summer Bay probably faced the worst part of the cyclone and plowed through taking in as much crab as they could along the way.

The game plan was not to risk it in the storm by venturing to new areas, rather just follow the line they have laid their pots for. It is a grueling task as they suffer through and it ends on a dangerous note as skipper Wild Bill Wichrowski passes out in his cabin due to sheer exhaustion even as the crew scream as one of the pots get stuck under the ship. How costly will this prove for the Summer Bay? Only time will tell.

'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 gets better by the episode as it tracks the journey of these skippers venturing into unknown territories. Each episode is an absolute humdinger and 'Bomb Cyclone' just adds to the unpredictability factor. 'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on Discovery.
