DC fans bid 'sad' farewell to Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam after James Gunn's axe falls again
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The DC Universe decisions made by James Gunn and Peter Safran in recent weeks have generated a lot of discussion among fans. While a sizable portion of the population has been criticizing the co-CEOs and their choice, several others said a sad goodbye to Dwayne Johnson. Earlier on December 21, Johnson shared a new update about Black Adam's future with the DC.
The new statement said, “My passionate friends, I wanted to give you a long-awaited 'Black Adam' update regarding the character’s future in the new DC Universe. James Gunn and I connected, and Black Adam will not be in their first chapter of storytelling. However, DC and Seven Bucks have agreed to continue exploring the most valuable ways Black Adam can be utilized in future DC multiverse chapters. James and I have known each other for years and have always rooted for each other to succeed. It’s no different now, and I will always root for DC (and Marvel) to win and WIN BIG.”

“You guys know me, and I have very thick skin – and you can always count on me to be direct with my words. These decisions made by James and DC leadership represent their vision of DCU through their creative lens,” Johnson added while thanking his fans who loved his work in 'Black Adam'. Several DC fans came out and bid farewell.
A person wrote, “Thank you, Mr. Johnson. I absolutely loved you as Black Adam and you did amazing!!! I loved the film! I drew this right after the film came out for you. You made me a fan of the character. I hope you get to play him again someday. And much love to you.” “For now… but he will return,” another added. Someone wrote, “So sad to watch Black Adam see the post-credit scene and to now know that it will never happen.” “Black Adam is a great character, and in a world when superheroes existed, in a country invaded by a powerful nation, he would be needed,” yet another user remarked. Meanwhile, Gunn also came out and expressed his love for Johnson and his role as Black Adam. While debunking all the speculations on scrapping Black Adam, the co-CEO of the DC universe wrote, “Love @TheRock & I’m always excited to see what he & Seven Bucks do next. Can’t wait to collaborate soon.”

I watched the movie, really liked it. I am very critic about superhero movies, I used to know everything about comics from the 70s - 90s. Black Adam is a great character, and in a world when superheroes existed, in a country invaded by a powerful nation, he would be needed.
