The 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards is here and the ceremony seems to be giving fans exactly what they want. Bryton James, who appears as Devon Hamilton in CBS's 'The Young and the Restless', won the award in the Oustanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category and fans are saying he totally deserved it.

James beat Mark Grossman (Adam Newman, CBS's 'The Young and the Restless'), Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis, NBC's 'Days of Our Lives '), Chandler Massey (Will Horton, NBC's 'Days of Our Lives'), James Patrick Stuart (Valentin Cassadine, ABC's 'General Hospital') and Paul Telfer (Xander Kiriakis, NBC's 'Days of Our Lives').

The fans are already celebrating the win on Twitter and it appears the virtual edition is more popular than the usual ceremony. "HELL YEA! THE EMMYS GOT THIS RIGHT. Outstanding Supporting Actor is Bryton James, Young and The Restless! Congrats Bryton. So well deserved," one fan tweeted. Another fan wrote, "awwwwwwwww bless bryton!!!! so happy for him #daytimeemmys these wins (so far) making more sense than if they were actually here to get the awards??????." One more said, "I am so happy for my fave @BrytonEjames won! You go Bryton! #DaytimeEmmys."

James also took the time to honor the late Kristoff St John and send out a message against racial injustice. "Go Bryton!!!!!! Well deserved & a classy speech with a great racial justice message! #DaytimeEmmys #YR #BlackLivesMatter," a fan tweeted.

Even fans of other shows like 'Days of Our Lives' and 'General Hospital' came out to congratulate James, admitting that he most certainly deserved the award for all the beautiful work he has done in 2019, especially in the aftermath of St John's untimely death. "I was hoping James Patrick Stuart would’ve won, but Bryton James deserved that award. #DaytimeEmmys," one fan wrote. Another fan wrote, "Yep. I love all 3 of the #Days nominees, but I knew Bryton was going to win. He was the linchpin of the storyline dealing w/ Kristoff/Neil's death, and he carried the parts that I saw beautifully. #DaytimeEmmys."

The 47th Daytime Emmy Awards were conducted virtually on June 26 and broadcast on CBS.
