Day6's Wonpil tests positive for Covid-19, schedule for 'Pilmography' halted
Update: On February 8, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Wonpil of Day6 had tested positive for Covid-19. All his schedules for his solo debut, 'Pilmography' halted as he quarantines as per health guidelines.
Original Article: Covid-19 is tearing through the K-pop industry and now, labels are starting to be proactive so as to ensure the safety of artists and staff. On February 7, it was reported that a staff member who was accompanying Day6’s Wonpil had tested positive for Covid-19. Wonpil, who was going to make his solo debut with ‘Pilmography’ on February 7, will not be promoting the album for a week, opting to self-quarantine instead.
As promotions of a new album include attending music shows and people-to-people contact, JYP Entertainment has announced that they will halt the promotions for ‘Pilmography’ as a precautionary measure for the safety of staff members as well as other artists. The label also announced that after the staff member tested positive, the singer himself took a test for Covid-19 using a self-diagnosis kit. It was announced that the test came back negative for Wonpil. The singer has preemptively also undergone a PCR test to be on the safe side and is currently waiting for the test results.

Day6 Wonpil to quarantine for one week
JYP Entertainment reported that Wonpil of Day6 is currently showing no symptoms. But despite that, he has announced a voluntary self-imposed isolation for a week, regardless of the result of his PCR test as he prepares himself for unforeseen situations. This comes after a total of 40 K-pop idols tested positive in the last two weeks alone which endangered the safety of artists and raised concern among fans.
