The Dandy Warhols announce new album 'Why You So Crazy', share 360-degree video for lead single 'Be Alright'
Next year marks the 25th anniversary of The Dandy Warhols. To celebrate, the Portland-based pop-rock veterans have announced the release of their 10th studio album, 'Why You So Crazy', due out on January 25 via Dine Alone Records.
Described as a return to their “freewheeling fashion”, the new album features 12 tracks that pack in “references as far-flung as Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Don MacLean’s Chevy, and the church of Bowie’s ‘Modern Love’.” The new album arrives three years after their well-received 2016 album 'Distortland', which was their first record signed with Dine Alone.
In anticipation of its release, the band has released a new single called 'Be Alright'. The hazy, psychedelic track features a highly infectious synth hook and is driven by frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor's gauzy vocals. The single is also accompanied by a single-shot 360° short film which was conceived by award-winning creative Kevin Moyer and features Mad Men’s Jessica Paré. Check out the music video below:
