Country Music Awards 2019: Here's everything you need to know about the performances, nominees and where to watch

You've waited around for an entire year for country music's ultimate celebration and it's almost here. Come Sunday, April 7, and you'll know which artists rose to the top and which ones didn't really make the cut. But, with all your favorite artists in the industry under a single roof, it definitely will be a night to remember.

Who is hosting?

Country star Reba McEntire is returning to host this prestigious night for the 16th time this year. She's known for her cheeky and sassy tweets and comebacks ("I guess they finally figured out it only takes one woman to do the job of two men..." was her official announcement to host the CMAs in February), so if this year she's inspired to bring that fire on stage once again, we are all going to have a great time folks.

Last year, country stars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood hosted the ceremony for the 11th time (clearly the awards likes to repeat its gems) and if you remember, the then-pregnant Underwood announced her baby's gender during the awards.
