Some of the members of the Duggar family came together to meet Mary Duggar as just a couple of weeks before the episode was shot she suffered a stroke. The family wanted to pay their visits and ensure that she was doing better.

Jinger Duggar came with her daughter Felicity to Kendra Duggar's place. Jim Bob, Michelle, and grandma Duggar also arrived at her house. Jim remarked that his mother was doing much better than before but added that there were still some things that they hoped would get better with time. “She is moving a little bit slower, but she has pretty much got most of her speech back,” he said. Despite all this, Mary had a big smile on her face as she interacted with all her family members. Jinger and Mary always shared a special bond. The two would talk endlessly and Jinger would often take her out.

“Jinger was one that always invested in Grandma Duggar and spent time with her and loved talking to her and taking her places."

“My mom has always been someone I look up to,” he said. “She’s been kind of a role model in business. She’s somebody that loves the Lord and has been someone that always encourages other people, and I love her so much.” After enjoying a nice conversation, Jim, Michelle, Jinger, Kendra, Mary, and Felicity took a picture together.

Jessa Duggar described her grandmother as someone who was a "giver". John added that she was "faithful". Meanwhile, Josiah said, “I know I wouldn’t be the man that I am today if it wasn’t for Grandma’s influence [on] me." Later, Justin added that he admired his grandmother's “true, genuine heart to serve others and just not caring about what other people think about her.”

'Counting On' airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm on TLC.
