'Counting On': Jana Duggar talks about the kind of man she wants to marry and all the things she wants to do before she ties the knot
People have had their eyes set on Jana Duggar as she is the only member of the family who has passed the age that is usually considered to be apt for settling down.
Unlike her siblings, Jana is still trying to figure things out and enjoy life one step at a time. In this week's episode, Jana commented on her thoughts about the type of man she wants to settle down with.
"Tall, dark, handsome, no I'm kidding," she said. "Really the biggest thing is someone with character, someone that is a little more established, just mature and wise."
Jana also revealed that there are times when she feels the pressure to get married. However, she tries to ignore the comments and focus on what she wants to do.
"I'm like 'Y'all when the time comes, I'll figure this out'. But if I was just sitting there like, 'Oh man, I’m just waiting to get married', I think that would be more depressing," she shared.
"But instead, I really look at this as, 'okay what are other things maybe that I could be doing right now that maybe I can't do later'. And so I've really enjoyed the different opportunities that I've had to travel, even still be able to travel with my family, that maybe my married siblings can't do."
Jana further shared that there have been times when she has gone on dates but nothing has seemed to work out for her.
"We've all been in relationships, courtships, whatever you want to label it as," she said and added, "Of course, it doesn't always end in marriage, and that's okay. It doesn't have to end in marriage."
While Jana is not counting her days to get married, the other siblings seem to be certain that they would settle down sometime soon.
James remarked that he was looking for "a modest, righteous babe" while Jason added that he was "looking for somebody that's going to be a friend, companion, is humble and has a learning spirit."
Only time will tell which Duggar will be walking down the aisle next. 'Counting On' airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm on TLC.
