We all know and love Billie Eilish as the all-conquering pop phenomenon who set our hearts and minds alight this year with her innovative and original music. Lil Nas X was named Favorite Breakout New Artist at the recently-concluded Kids' Choice Awards, and it's easy to see why. His Tiktok-fuelled viral smash hit 'Old Town Road' managed to blend the best elements of both the trap and country music genres, becoming so popular that it was reinstated on the Billboard charts after initially being removed from the Hot Country Songs list.
It spent a record-breaking 19 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was eventually certified diamond, after selling more than 10 million units across the United States. Yee-haw!
