The news of McGregor's Hollywood debut was announced by Amazon Studios after they managed to rope him in for Prime Video’s new reimagining of the classic ’80s action flick 'Road House', with Doug Liman directing the remake. The notorious fighter will share the screen with some impressive talent for the movie.
Amazon Studios announced on Twitter, "Fight icon Conor McGregor expands his storied career into film to join Jake Gyllenhaal in the reimagining of the beloved classic, Road House." The 34-year-old UFC fighter with a whopping net worth of $200 million is embarking on a new journey and has lived up to his word of always getting rich. Being cast alongside Jake Gyllenhaal - who is known for his content-driven movies and top-notch acting - can provide McGregor the validation he needs as an actor.

McGregor will also be joining Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Lukas Gage, Hannah Love Lanier, Travis Van Winkle, BK Cannon, Arturo Castro, Dominique Columbus, Beau Knapp, and Bob Menery. The original movie, released in 1989, boasts of an impressive cast itself such as Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliot, Kelly Lynch, and more. McGregor's role in the remake has not been disclosed yet. However, fans are already bashing the first ever UFC fighter to hold championships in two weight classes simultaneously. They are NOT ready to see him in a movie!
