Fans are in a flutter as it's the biggest event for all geekdom - Comic-Con! A lot of trailers, tidbits of information and cast interactions have taken place and viewers have been glued to their screens, eagerly waiting for more news about their favorite shows.

During Amazon Prime's Comic-Con panel the first trailer for 'Utopia' was released. The remake of the controversial cult classic sees the British series gain a high-budget American remake and it has been in the pipeline for ages. Sasha Lane is the protagonist of the series alongside Rainn Wilson, John Cusack, Dan Byrd, Jessica Rothe, Desmin Borges, Ashleigh LaThrop, Farrah Mackenzie, Christopher Denham and Cory Michael Smith.

Fans are just eagerly waiting for the series to hit Amazon Prime. In the teaser trailer, we see Utopia the comic book and the focus is on a "rogue scientist who created biological warfare".  However, the trailer makes you question what exactly is the reality. However, phrases like 'end of the world' and 'viral pandemic' are sprinkled throughout the show and gives it an eerie tinge. The teaser ends with a queasy score and the words, "We all have a purpose."

Considering the gloomy world we are living in right now, fans are saying that this show is a 'timely' one. "What a timely show. Can’t wait for #utopia!" a fan tweeted.

"I am just so excited to see @johncusackback again, and with @rainnwilson ! #Utopia #ComicConAtHome," another wrote.

"Can't wait for this," another fan tweeted.

The official synopsis of 'Utopia' reads as, "Utopia centers on a group of comic fans who meet online and bond over their obsession of a seemingly fictional comic called, “Utopia.” Together, Ian (Dan Byrd), Becky (Ashleigh LaThrop), Samantha (Jessica Rothe), Wilson Wilson (Desmin Borges) and Grant (Javon “Wanna” Walton) unearth hidden meanings cloaked within the pages of “Utopia,” predicting threats to humanity. They realize these are not just the makings of a conspiracy; they are very real dangers coming alive right now in their world. The high-stakes adventure brings the group face-to-face with the comic’s famed central character, Jessica Hyde (Sasha Lane), who joins them on their mission to save the world while harboring secrets of her own. The series also stars John Cusack as Dr. Kevin Christie, Rainn Wilson as Dr. Michael Stearns, Farrah Mackenzie as Alice, Christopher Denham as Arby, and Cory Michael Smith as Thomas Christie."

The release date has not been announced yet.
