Colin Farrell blowing co-star Jenny the Donkey a kiss steals the show at Oscars 2023
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During the 2023 Academy Awards, Jenny the Donkey, the sidekick to Colin Farrell's character in 'The Banshees of Inisherin,' made a surprise appearance on the first-ever champagne-toned Oscars red carpet. Host Jimmy Kimmel then introduced her to the audience, holding her by her leash as she wore a red bowtie and bedazzled vest. Kimmel joked, "Not only is Jenny an actress, she's a certified emotional support donkey, or at least, that's what we told the airline to get her on the plane from Ireland."
Kimmel then gave a shoutout to Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, who starred in the film 'The Banshees of Inisherin'. He addressed the audience, saying, "If you're feeling upset that you didn't win, or you're anxious, or you just love mules, feel free to come up and give her a hug." He then turned to Jenny and pointed out her friends in the crowd, saying, "Jenny, I want you to see that your friend Colin is right there, and there's your friend Brendon, whose finger you ate. Do you want to say thank you?" The camera panned to Farrell, who blew the donkey a kiss, making it the subject of memes on Twitter.
