"It's times like these you learn to live again... It's times like these you give and give again." These immortal lines from the classic Foo Fighters track 'Times Like These' will be given new meaning come Thursday, April 23.

A host of popular artistes including Dua Lipa, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Rita Ora, Bastille, 5 Seconds Of Summer and more will unite to perform the hit on BBC radio to aid COVID-19 relief efforts.

The 2002 Foo Fighters song was re-recorded by 23 different world-famous artistes from their homes as they wait out the ongoing coronavirus lockdown, in an effort to spread awareness and raise funds for the COVID-19 pandemic that is currently ravaging the planet.

The song will feature artistes as diverse as rapper Yungblud to vocalist Luke Hemmings from 5 Seconds of Summer and will feature on the popular BBC radio show Live Lounge this Thursday, at 12 pm BST / 7 am ET, broadcast on numerous radio stations.

The BBC released a statement on their official website, which announced: "The Stay Home Live Lounge will be broadcast for the first time across Radio 1, Radio 2, 1Xtra, 6Music and Asian Network at midday on Thursday 23 April as well as on-demand on BBC Sounds."

"The accompanying video will be broadcast during 'The Big Night In' on BBC One that evening and will be available to watch later on Radio 1’s iPlayer and YouTube channels."

The song is being produced by Grammy and Ivor Novello award-winning producer Fraser T Smith, who has worked with Adele, Stormzy and Dave in recent years, and is responsible for seven UK No. 1 singles and 18 No. 1 albums.

The BBC also stated "These [charity] funds will be split equally between BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief to provide essential support to vulnerable people of all ages and backgrounds across the UK who will be significantly impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
