'Cobra Kai' Season 4: Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about Netflix's 'Karate Kid' spinoff
Fans of ‘Cobra Kai’, the Netflix martial arts comedy-drama series based on ‘The Karate Kid’ films, have something to be happy about. The show has already been renewed for the fourth season. And after the events that transpired in Season 3, there is a lot that will go down in the season to come. Here is all you need to know about ‘Cobra Kai’ Season 4:
Release date
In October 2020, the series was renewed for a fourth season ahead of the third season premiere. Season 3 of ‘Cobra Kai’ premiered on Netflix on January 1, 2021. No release date for Season 4 has been announced yet. However, ‘Cobra Kai’ co-creator Jon Hurwitz said earlier this year, "I don't have the answer, but would imagine Season 4 will come out roughly a year after Season 3." Plot
Now, if you haven’t seen the third season of ‘Cobra Kai’ yet, be warned: there are many spoilers up ahead. Read at your own risk.
Hurwitz shared in late October that the Season 4 writing process was all wrapped up, though. "Final day of the Season 4 writers room," he said. "14 weeks with some of my favorite people in the world. Scripts are rolling in. Excited we’ll have everything written and polished by the time we start filming. It’s going to be another kick a** season!"
The words “another kick a** season” are not for nothing. Season 3 of the show, for the lack of a better word, was massively chaotic — but in a good way. It followed Johnny’s (William Zabka) journey as he tried to reconnect with his estranged son Robby (Tanner Buchanan), and attempted to make Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) walk again after Robby almost killed him.
The season saw the Cobra Kai dojo back in the hands of Kreese (Martin Kove), who continued on his warpath against everything Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Mr. Miyagi stood for. The series culminates in a battle between the students of Kreese and those of Daniel and Johnny. The brawl dwarfs the one in season 2. And finally, Daniel and Johnny join hands to combine their dojos and fight against Kreese in the upcoming "All Valley Karate Tournament". The result of this tournament would decide the future of all three (and of course, their students). So, one can be sure that the tournament will be the highlight of Season 4.
Additional plot details of Season 4 of ‘Cobra Kai’ will be added here as and when it is released. Watch this space for more information.
