'CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special': When, where and how to watch the all-star virtual tribute

Country Music Television is taking some time out of the turbulent year we've had so far to celebrate the heroes that are keeping the world functioning amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.

The 'CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special' is set to feature a massive lineup of top country stars as well as several guests, so read on for information on when it airs and how to stream it live.

Airdate

The 'CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special' is a two-hour tribute that will air on June 3 at 8 pm ET.

What to expect

The special will feature many prominent entertainers, including Reba McEntire, Brandi Carlile, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Kelsea Ballerini. The all-star virtual tribute event will honor the tireless efforts and contributions of frontline workers fighting the pandemic, recognizing the heroes across several categories including Healthcare, Education, Business, Community Leaders, Food Industry, Infrastructure, First Responders and many more, all of whom have continued to actively work against the spread of Covid-19.

It's going to be quite the celebration as several celebs and musicians join hands virtually as a way to remind us who we owe our gratitude to in addition to raising awareness and spreading information on active coronavirus relief efforts.

Lineup

CMT has continued to add names to its lineup. As of now, Blake Shelton, Bobby Bones, Cody Alan, Gary Sinise, Jake Owen, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Lee Brice, Olivia Munn, Reba McEntire, Scarlett Johansson, Sean Penn and Zac Brown have been confirmed to appear as part of the virtual tribute.

They join previously confirmed performers Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, Darius Rucker, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, Tim McGraw and Thomas Rhett.

Additionally, the show is set to feature cameos from Carrie Underwood, Kristen Bell and Lauren Daigle.

The 'CMT Celebrates Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special' will air on CMT with a three-network simulcast on Paramount Network, Pop TV and TV Land.
