'CMA Best of Fest': Darius Rucker, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts keep country music party going
CMAs 'Best of Fest' continued with some stunning performances from the last decade, including some country classics from some fan-favorite artistes.
Darius Rucker's 2014 cover of 'Wagon Wheel' proved to be a hit among fans yet again. One fan mused, "Darius Rucker’s fest look huge," while another shared, "Darius Rucker’s cover of 'Wagon Wheel' is one of his greatest hits." Canadian country music singer Tenille Arts shared, "The last show I did before this pandemic took over our lives was with @dariusrucker as the headliner. So. Damn. Good."
Arts also shared about the 2010 Brad Paisley performance of 'American Saturday Night'. "How can @BradPaisley play the guitar like that. Seriously. Who was your guitar teacher/can you just come teach me?" he wrote. Just prior to Paisley's performance, Peyton Manning dropped by to introduce him and shared with the world that it was, in fact, he who taught Paisley to play the guitar like that. The cameo had fans in splits, with one sharing, "I love the Peyton-@BradPaisley comedy duo." Another viewer said, "Okay Peyton Manning introducing Brad Paisley was awesome," and one fan stated, "Peyton is so funny!"
The highlights continued with Dierks Bentley, who wowed fans with both his vocals and his fashion. One fan shared, "This @DierksBentley and @DwightYoakam set from CMA Fest 2018... good Lord Dwight Yoakam still wears those jeans of his like he's melted and poured into them and still looks damn good..." While another said, "Is there anyone greater than @DwightYoakam when he’s doing the leg thing? The answer is: NO!!!" One fan stated, "Watching #CMAfest and seeing once again why I’ve always loved @DwightYoakam" and another tweeted, "@DwightYoakam Omg!! You are still awesome and damn good-looking!" Dan + Shay soon followed with 'Tequila', which one fan stated was "a gut punch everytime I hear it."
Another epic stage followed with Rascal Flatts teaming up with Little Big Town to rock out on classics like 'Wayward Son'. "Damn this is good!" shared one viewer, and one fan highlighted, "It’s hard to remember Country music without @rascalflatts," adding, "I’m loving this medley with @littlebigtown." Another fan said, "I like this mashup of classic songs with @RascalFlatts and @LittleBigTown" and one stated, "I am so here for this medley!!!"
