Cody 'Clix' Conrod, a well-known Twitch streamer and professional Fortnite player, has received a two-week ban from Fortnite due to a 'teaming' violation during the recent Solo Victory Cup. After reviewing the evidence, Epic Games concluded that Clix had violated the game's rules, leading to the ban.

Following the enforcement of the rule by Epic, Clix is no longer eligible to participate in FNCS Chapter 4 Season 2 and Chapter 4 Season 3, leading to uncertainty about his future in the game. Cody shared a six-minute video on social media to provide details of the incident and confirmed that Epic Games had declined to lift the ban. The Fortnite community has rallied around Clix, with many players expressing their support on Twitter using the hashtag #FreeClix.

Kai Cenat Net Worth: Why did the famous Twitch streamer get banned?

Why did Clix get banned from Fortnite?

Clix was banned from Fortnite on April 22 following a rule breach during the Solo Victory Cup. Gamers can earn money to enter the competition by winning Victory Royales within two hours. Clix talked with a stream sniper and received things from them during one of his matches, which went global and generated a debate about whether this was a punishable offense. Clix was later taken from the Solo Victory Cup rankings and banned for 14 days for breaching section 8.2.2 of the game's regulations, which refers to teaming - players collaborating during a match while on opposite teams.

Certain members of the community believed that this offense was only worthy of a formal warning, but Epic Games elected to suspend him, barring Clix from playing in the Fortnite Champion Series until Chapter 4 Season 4.

Clix responds to Epic's punishment

Following the news of his ban going public, the renowned Twitch streamer commenced a live stream to shed light on the situation. During the stream, Clix reviewed the game that led to his ban and highlighted that he was being tailed by a stream sniper throughout the match. Clix clarified that he intended to expose the opponent who was stream-sniping him and have them banned. Unfortunately, both Clix and his opponent were banned because the latter gave him materials and splashed him.

Clix has revealed that despite engaging in discussions with Epic Games, his ban will not be lifted. As a result, he will not be able to participate in the next two FNCS tournaments. Clix took to Twitter to explain the situation, which led to the trending hashtag #FreeClix.

'#freeclix he didn't do anything wrong'

The Fortnite community, including fellow players and personalities, rallied to support Clix after news of his ban broke. One user said, "#freeclix he didn't do anything wrong." A second user wrote, "naah man clix is way too nice , he doesn't deserve this :(" A third user said, "#FreeClix we love you please @FortniteGame." One user wrote, "This is crazy smh."

However, Clix faces an uphill battle as Epic Games' track record of overturning bans is not in his favor. Additionally, the new rule introduced in Chapter 2 Season 7 puts Clix in a difficult position, as he will be forced to sit out until Chapter 4 Season 4.
