'Selective outrage': Ciara unbothered after haters slam her for wearing 'naked' dress at Oscars after-party
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Ciara has a funny response to her haters after being criticized for wearing a ‘naked dress’ at the Oscars after-party. The ‘Level Up’ singer, in a TikTok post on Wednesday, March 15, wrote, "POV: How I'm pulling up to Vanity Fair next year 😂" She draped herself head-to-toe in a white bed sheet and donned black sunglasses.
The 37-year-old hit back with the caption “Selective outrage,” while she walked towards the camera and an audio filter called out her name playing over the top. In the clip, Ciara reaches to the camera, poses a series of poses, and smiles before walking off. The talented artist managed to grab a few eyeballs on Sunday, March 12, on the red carpet leaving little to the imagination with her sheer netted Dundas gown. Inside, she wore a tiny black thong and pasties. Ciara topped it with a pair of sparkling-looking black velvet elbow-length gloves, diamond drop earrings and black strappy Santoni heels. The singer’s hair was also styled into a chic bob and she walked in wearing a smokey black eye, reports People.

'People feel miserable when they can’t control women'
People were quick to comment on her daring Oscar outfits. One Instagram user said, “Nothing elegant about this look it’s tacky and screams I need attention 😩” Another user captioned, “i approve that message ! She’s absolutely Fabulous! No Doubt!” Another user agreed with her ‘selective outrage,’ caption, commenting, “No shade, but if @lizzobeeating had this on, everyone would be lifting her up and admiring her confidence. If "reach for the top, because the bottom is overcrowded," was a thread, this would be it.”
Meanwhile, a user questioned her intention of choosing her outfit, “So we cant feel confident and beautiful while covered up? Why do we always feel the need to wear less to be “beautiful”? Smh.” Since there were mixed reactions, one Instagrammer said, “People feel miserable when they can’t control women 🙄”
