'You ticked people off': Ciara's husband and NFL star Russell Wilson's bad 'attitude' left team 'seething'
DENVER, COLORADO: Ciara’s husband and NFL quarterback Russell Wilson has been accused of having a self-centered attitude that allegedly has left his Denver Broncos teammates "seething." The words of criticism against the football player came from former Broncos tight end Shannon Sharpe.
While speaking to FS1’s 'Undisputed' on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, Sharpe had Wilson under fire after the NFL star, 34, and his team lost to the Los Angeles Rams 14-51 on Sunday, December 25. Only a day later on Monday, the Broncos had also fired their head coach Nathaniel Hackett in the wake of the team’s 4-11 performance. "Let me tell you what the problem is. Russell Wilson has never been a 1-2-3 get rid of the ball," Sharpe said, according to the New York Post. "He was very good at improvisation. He was very good…at getting off-script. Russell has lost athleticism," he added.

“Russ cannot outrun anybody!” the 54-year-old retired NFL player continued. "So, he can’t make those improvisational plays like he could for those first 10 years in Seattle. You never see Russ get dragged down from behind. Now, Russ don’t look like he could outrun me," he further said.
While emphasizing Wilson’s dwindling athleticism, Sharpe, who played 12 seasons for the Broncos and won two championships with the team, targeted the quarterback’s ego and said he is “putting himself in front of the team.”
"I don’t know who the head coach is gonna be, but the first thing you do: 'Russell Wilson, I’m locking this office. You will no longer have an office. All those parking spaces you get the stadium, they’re gone too — because you’re putting yourself in front of the team.' I said it before, I’ll say it again, and I stand by it: You ticked a lot of people off with your attitude, bro," Sharpe added. "You can come out here and talk about how we’re a team and I’m good with my teammates, but deep down inside, they’re seething, and I’m gonna leave it at that," he further said.
After a blockbuster trade in March for a whopping five-year, $245 million contract extension, Wilson arrived in Denver. He was previously in the Seattle Seahawks for ten seasons.
Wilson tied the knot with American singer and model Ciara in July 2016. The celebrity pair have two children named Win Harrison Wilson, 2, and Sienna Princess Wilson, 5. Ciara has another child named Future Zahir Wilburn, with rapper Future. The former couple was engaged before parting ways in 2014 following allegations of Future being unfaithful.
