'Christmas Ever After': Meet Ali Stroker, Daniel di Tomasso and rest of the cast of the Lifetime holiday movie

Romance novelist Izzi Simmons is facing an impending deadline and a severe case of writer’s block

'Christmas Ever After' is an upcoming Lifetime movie just in time for cozy winter breaks. It follows novelist Izzi Simmons who faces a severe case of writer's block until she finds inspiration in a B&B’s new owner Matt. Here is the cast bringing the holiday movie to your small screens.

Ali Stroker as Izzi Simmons

Stroker is an actress and a singer — she is known for her works such as 'Lethal Weapon' (2018), 'City Boyz' (2019), 'Everyday Miracles' (2015), and 'Instinct' (2018). Her recent works include 'Drunk History' (2018), 'Charmed' (2019), 'BoJack Horseman' (2020), 'Helpsters' (2020), and Olivia in the 'Bold Type' (2020). In 2019, Stroker won a Tony Award for Featured Actress — Musical for 'Oklahoma!' This year 'Oklahoma!' was nominated for a Grammy in the category Best Musical Theater Album.

Daniel di Tomasso as Matt

Tomasso is known for his works in 'Major Crimes' (2016-2018), 'Good Girls Revolt' (2016) and most recently 'French Exit' (2020) and 'Ratched' (2020). He's also been part of other major producers such as Zach Torbett in 'Chicago Fire' (2018), Young Gio Costa in 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' (2019), Fletcher Myers in 'Dynasty' (2019-2020), and Zane Lumet in 'The Good Doctor' (2020).

David is known for her roles as Mrs. Glatt in 'Goon' (2011), Judith Bellow in '18 to Life' (2010-2011), Maria Auditore in 'Assassin's Creed II' (2009), and her role in 'Pawn Sacrifice' (2014). Her recent works include 'Le Phoenix' (2020), 'Mon Cirque à moi' (2020), 'The Dark Pictures: Little Hope' (2020), 'Dominion' (2020), and 'The Rhythm and Roots of Arthur' (2020). Besides 'Christmas Ever After', the actress has three releases in post-production — 'Fatherhood' (2021), 'The Office Games' and 'Spinning Gold'. In 2008, David won an ACTRA Montreal Award for Outstanding Female Performance for 'Surviving My Mother' (2007) and in 2015 she was the recipient of an ACTRA Award of Excellence. 

Charlotte Legault

Legault is known for her roles as Nadia in 'District 31' (2016-2019), Audrey Allard-Fraser in 'Subito Texto' (2014-2015), and Melissa in 'The Parent Family' (2012-2013). In 2018, Legault was nominated for a Gémeaux Award for Best Supporting Actress — Dramatic Series or Program for 'District 31' and in 2019 she was nominated for another of the same award for Best Supporting Actress — Dramatic for the same production. Her recent works include 'Secrets, Lies and Family Ties' (2018), 'Cerebrum' (2019), 'The 20th Century' (2019), and 'Transplant' (2020).

Bill Marchant

Marchant is known for his roles as Dr Thomas Blithely in 'Strange Empire' (2014), Shepard in 'Everyone' (2004), Professor in 'Chappie' (2015) and Lance Beekman in 'In My Dreams' (2014). His recent works include 'Zincton' (2014), 'From Out' (2015), the TV series 'La Quinceañera' (2017), 'The Watcher' (2018), 'The Crossing' (2018), and the 'Volition' (2019). In 2004, the actor won a Golden Zenith at the Montréal World Film Festival for Best Film from Canada for 'Everyone'. The rest of the cast includes Kim Nelson, Alessia Zaccaro, Gita Miller, Melia Charlotte Cressaty and Nicole Leroux.

The official synopsis reads, "Popular romance novelist Izzi Simmons spends every Christmas at her favorite snowy bed and breakfast, but this year, she’s faced with an impending deadline and a severe case of writer’s block. Luckily, inspiration strikes in the unlikely form of the B&B’s new owner Matt, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the handsome hero from Izzi’s novels. As both partake in the lodge’s annual itinerary of Christmas activities, Izzi’s writer’s block is cured and the first pages of her and Matt’s own love story may just be beginning."
