LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: On Thursday, Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall reunited for the last episode of 'Flip or Flop'. Tarek took to Instagram ahead of the finale to thank his fans for their support throughout the years, as well as his ex-wife and co-star Christina in a heartfelt post.

Tarek and Christina were married from 2009 until 2018, and they appeared on HGTV's 'Flip or Flop' from 2011 to 2022. The series, which followed a then-married couple flipping homes in California, was an instant success when it debuted, showing the pair bidding on condemned properties at auctions and working with little funds. Throughout its 11-year run, it also included glimpses into their personal lives, such as the couple's divorce and scenes with their kids, Taylor and Brayden. 'Flip or Flop' unexpectedly ended in March 2022, according to People, since the shooting had grown "too intimate" for the exes, who had both gone on to new relationships.

Tarek wrote in a lengthy, poignant Instagram post, "Flip or Flop started as a crazy idea and I sent a random e-mail to a production company with a dream of flipping houses on tv before I ever flipped a house." Speaking about him and Christina, he added, "We had no experience flipping houses and had no clue how to film a pilot episode all by ourselves! We were just two kids who wanted to learn how to flip houses and take you on that journey with us- and here we are over a decade later! Over the last 10 years, we’ve been able to do something really special and share not only our house flipping journey with you guys but also our lives with you as well… and now it’s time for the Final Flip."

In an hour-long special to honor 'Flip or Flop,' the exes took on one more project! The final episode of HGTV's 'Flip or Flop' aired Thursday, Dec 1, at 8 pm ET.
According to People, Tarek and Christina clashed on the set of 'Flip or Flop' in July 2021 when Tarek told Christina that his now-wife and 'Selling Sunset' actress Heather Rae El Moussa was "a hotter, richer" version of her. Heather appeared to corroborate the event on May 9 at the 2022 'Selling Sunset' reunion. Despite the drama, Christina and Tarek appeared to have made peace as they completed the last house flip together to bid farewell to 'Flip or Flop'.

Tarek also wrote about sharing "my life, my kids, my cancer, my businesses growing, the homes we’ve flipped" with viewers in the same post. He was also ecstatic about "our next chapters and what the next decade has in store for both of us."

He concludes the post by thanking "our hardworking production crew, @hgtv for supporting up, the staff at @tarekbuyshousesllc and thank you to my co star @thechristinahall, it’s been a wild ride and I hope nothing but the best for her in the years to come!"

Aside from the flashbacks from the previous ten seasons, the finale episode showed Tarek and Christina purchasing a 2,200-square-foot duplex property with four bedrooms and three baths for $925,000. Christina remarked on their experiences in the area when Christina and Tarek walked up to the property to look at it before purchasing. "We used to come down here like 10 years ago and eat at this restaurant right around the corner," she reminisced.

"The crab legs are like this big," Tarek confirmed, his palms spread wide.

The former couple talked fondly of one another while reminiscing about their time on 'Flip or Flop'. "I am super proud of what we did together, and I understand your careful budgeting got us where we are today," Christina told Tarek at one point.

Despite the fact that 'Flip or Flop' has ended, Tarek and Christina will continue to star in different HGTV series. 'Christina in the Country', starring Christina and husband Josh Hall, will air on HGTV on January 12, while Heather and Tarek will feature in an eight-episode docuseries on their life, tentatively named 'The Flipping El Moussas', in addition to Tarek's show 'Flipping 101'.

'Flip or Flop' is available on Discovery+.
