Christina Aguilera announces first North American tour in 10 years

The tour is in support of Aguilera's upcoming album 'Liberation' which is due out on June 15 via RCA records and marks her first new album in six years.

Gen-X pop sensation Christina Aguilera confirmed her return to music last week when she announced her first album in six years, titled 'Liberation'. Her pop comeback seems to have suddenly gained massive traction as Aguilera has just announced her first North American tour in 10 years.

The Liberation Tour, named after the singer's upcoming album, will see Aguilera perform 24 shows in 22 theaters across North America. The trek kicks off in late September with gigs in Hollywood, Florida; Atlantic City, New Jersey; and Washington, DC. She’ll then play two nights at New York City’s iconic Radio City Music Hall before heading off to Boston, Detroit, Denver, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Atlanta, and another two-nighter in Chicago before concluding on November 13th in St. Petersburg, Florida.


Out June 15 via RCA Records, 'Liberation' features a pair of tracks produced by Kanye West, 'Maria' and the lead single 'Accelerate' (featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz). Watch the official music video for the single below. Anderson .Paak produced two songs, while Julia Michaels and Mike Dean contributed in various capacities. Demi Lovato shows up to duet on 'Fall in Line', which will be debuted live at the Billboard Music Awards on May 20.
