'She won the light-skinned lottery': Chris Rock slams 'victim' Meghan Markle for racist royals whine
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND: In his latest comedy special, Chris Rock took a dig at Meghan Markle for her infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey as he claimed that "even black people want to know how brown" her child would be. The comedian's Netflix show 'Chris Rock: Selective Outrage' aired live for the first time on Saturday, March 04 from the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore.
The Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry told Oprah in 2021 that Meghan felt estranged from the other members of the royal family before they decided to step down from their royal duties and moved to California. The former ‘Suits’ star also accused the royal family members of acting in a discriminatory manner towards her as she recalled an incident about how a senior royal questioned how dark-skinned her unborn child would be, DailyMail reported.

‘She hit the light-skinned lottery?'
The ‘Good Hair’ star chastised Meghan for her accusations of racism, claiming she was simply dealing with internal family strife and that she was fortunate to have won the "light-skinned lottery." Rock was talking about people, who attempt to portray themselves as victims when brought up Markle’s name during his two-and-a-half-hour stand-up special. "Like who is this girl Meghan Markle? Seems like a nice lady, just complaining," he began. "Like didn't she hit the light-skinned lottery?"
Thereafter, Rock criticized remarks Meghan made during a sit-down interview with Oprah. '"They're so racist, they're so racist,"' Rock mocked the Duchess, noting, "Some of that s*** she went through was not racism. It was just some in-law s***. Sometimes it's just some in-law s*** because she's complaining, and I'm like 'What the f*** is she talking about?'" The comedian then tried to copy off Meghan, saying '"Oprah, they're so racist they wanted to know how brown the baby was going to be." "I'm like, 'That's not racist, because even black people want to know how brown the baby going to be.'"

‘You need to marry a Kardashian’
"S*** we check behind the ears - that's a scientific test because you've got to know what kind of black child you going to get," he joked while insisting "I know what she's going through, I know what Meghan Markle's going through. I know her dilemma: A black girl trying to be accepted by her white in-laws. Oh, it's hard. It's so hard, it's very hard - but it ain't as hard as a white girl trying to be accepted by her black in-laws. Now that s*** is really hard."

Rock ended the bit by suggesting Meghan should've married into the Kardashian clan. "Meghan Markle, I know the dilemma. I'm like, "If you black and you wanted to be accepted by your white in-laws then you need to marry a Kardashian because they accept everybody."' Netflix’s special stand-up show captured Rock talking about many controversial topics including addiction, abortion, American racism, the Kardashian clan, and the Oscars incident where Will Smith slapped him for joking about his wife’s baldness.
