'Worst wahoo ever heard': Chris Pratt’s ‘Mario’ voice slammed after ‘The Super Mario Bros’ trailer drops
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Universal Pictures and Illumination in association with Nintendo are bringing back the nostalgia with the upcoming 'The Super Mario Bros. Movie' which is set to be the third feature film adaptation of the 'Super Mario' video game series. The titular character is played by Chris Pratt and he is joined by Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, and more. While the fans are absolutely in awe of the project altogether, several are disappointed with Pratt and his performance.
The second trailer comes as a surprise because the fans saw the first teaser trailer merely a month ago which presented a funny, gorgeous, and colorful film. This time around, a new aspect was seen as the heroes prepare for Jack Black's Bowser's ultimate coming. The creators also dropped new posters showing Peache's castle. With everything going right, the fans are highly disappointed with Chris Pratt for Mario's voice. Some are complaining about the placid delivery whereas Mario is the opposite, and many are complaining that the actor is simply using his own voice with no modulation. The actor was recently seen in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special'.

For the love of all that is holy get Mario's original VA to do the lines, or hire one of the million Mario impersonators out there. WHY would you go with Pratt? Madness." Another user tweeted, "It's the worst wahoo I've ever heard. You people want it to sound like N64 like we're not in 2022. Chris Pratt is the worst part of this movie, the rest of the cast has delivered"

One pissed-off user wrote, "Chris Pratt’s Mario is the audio equivalent of Ugly Sonic" Another user trolled Pratt for his sloppy performance and the wrong choice of voice for Mario and wrote, "I find it funny that one would think an Illumination celeb voice cast would be phoning it in, but no they're actually invested in doing a bang-up job And then you have Chris Pratt half asleep at the mic"
