'I gonna get haunted by the ghost of Harrison Ford': Chris Pratt addresses 'Indiana Jones' casting rumors
In a recent new development, ‘The Terminal List’ star Chris Pratt has finally broken his silence on the ongoing and never-ending ‘Indiana Jones’ rumors. Many speculative reports had been suggesting how the makers had been eyeing Chris Pratt to essay the iconic role in the ‘Indiana Jones’ film franchise.
During his recent conversational chat with ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast host Josh Horowitz, the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star finally opened up on his reaction and response to the relentlessly un-ending ‘Indiana Jones’ casting rumors. The host Horowitz asked Pratt about his reply to a 2015’s speculative article by a leading publication which had suggested how the makers and Disney had been eyeing Pratt to essay the iconic role played by Harrison Ford in the film franchise as the new ‘Indiana Jones’. On this, ultimately he debunked all these stories. Shutting down any possibility of him ever playing this cult character, Pratt replied, “I don’t even know who Steven Spielberg is. Who? Steven Who? No, aren’t they doing Indiana Jones with Harrison Ford?.”

Furthermore, Pratt also added, “All I know. Is I once saw a quote from Harrison Ford and I don’t even know if it was really him but it was enough to scare me, that was like, When I die, Indiana Jones dies.”
He also spoke about how he feels really scared and petrified enough from this quote that he had read somewhere about Harrison Ford. He gave an insight on how he will never be playing this role as he literally fears being haunted by Harrison Ford’s ghost incessantly if he ever attempted to play his role. “And I’m like, am I gonna get haunted by the ghost of Harrison Ford one day when he dies if I play… ?.”
This is true that Harrison Ford is actually returning to the ‘Indiana Jones’ franchise for the 2023 James Mangold film.
Pratt has not blatantly denied the fact of any previous discussions on the matter, but in a joking way he also mentioned, “Everyone is capable of making mistakes even if they’re Deadline.” Josh Horowitz posted this small video clip on Twitter related to his interview with Pratt.
I’m no body language expert but watch this video and tell me Chris Pratt did not talk to Steven Spielberg about taking over Indiana Jones in some capacity. pic.twitter.com/bqOdebFHla

As soon as he posted this interview clip, many fans started giving in their reactions to the same. “I'm no body language expert..." you'd have to be blind not to see something in his response you could feel him squirming,” said a fan. “We need a new Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford is just getting too old..,” added a fan. “I really disagree with you on this Josh. Chris was pretty clear that the answer to your question was "no". He indicated that they were doing it with Ford and that even Deadline can get it wrong,” a fan noted. “Capable of making mistakes even at their deadline. Sounds like a phrase they teach you before you leave the Spielberg offices,” shared another fan. “I am a Wicklander-Certified Forensic interviewer....his eye movement when the question is asked suggests what is called "auditory remembering." So his brain is accessing spoken language memory. This suggests he is honestly trying to remember such a conversation,” added another fan. “Chris Pratt has the charisma of a limp dick. This is a big no,” exclaimed a fan. “OK: Chris Pratt did not talk to Steven Spielberg about taking over Indiana Jones in some capacity,” a fan noted.

Interestingly, during an appearance at ‘The Today Show’ back in May 2019, when the host asked Harrison Ford who would he like to essay his iconic role after he essayed it so flawlessly, Ford said, “Nobody. No one is going to be Indiana Jones. Don’t you get it? I am Indiana Jones. When I am gone, he is gone. It’s easy.”
