Chris Pratt’s ‘Terminal List’ slammed as ‘right-wing revenge fantasy’, fans call it ‘superb watch’
Chris Pratt's new Amazon Prime action series 'The Terminal List' has brought the critics against the audience and they're at war. The critics have slammed Pratt's new outing as Lieutenant Commander James Reece who returns home with conflicting memories of the time when his platoon of Navy SEALs was ambushed during a covert mission. The series, also includes Taylor Kitsch, Riley Keough, Sean Gunn, and more. Pratt was last seen in 'Thor: Love and Thunder' and 'Jurassic World Dominion'.
So far, only 40% of the critics have given 'The Terminal List' a good review and the rest have called it "dumb long-weekend, conventional pleasure," "self-serious for its own good," "it's a hard sell," and more. The critics who did NOT like the series made sure to properly ram the series through the ground. Variety said that the show is "a dour, miserable sit, one that would be tough to take as a two-hour film, and has been inexplicably roided up to eight hours." It continues, "We don’t believe the character needs to take time or effort to return to killing, because for the rest of the time, Pratt is so visibly enjoying playing He-Man." THR said the show "dry, tasteless burger that has been left on the grill for so long that the result is dry and tasteless."

The Daily Beast slammed the series and said it was an "unhinged right-wing revenge fantasy that panders to male red-state viewers with routine references to beer, guns, country music, and hunting." The Guardian also gave the series a courtesy 1 star and called it terminally dull and whatnot. It read, "It's a passion project for Pratt, who hasn't been shy about his military obsession, but you would not know from watching the actor giving arguably his laziest performance to date, lethargically shuffling through scenes like he's just here for the cash, unable to bring any real shades of humanity to an admittedly half-a-note character." But who are the critics to say anything if the audience, who can make or break a project are showering Pratt with all the love? While critics are busy slamming the series, fans are giving it a whopping 5-star review with 95% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
Audience loves 'The Terminal List' while critics slam Chris Pratt
While many critics scrutinized the project, The Independent slid in with a slightly positive review which praised the acting but ridiculed the plot. It read, "Those with an appetite for the Jacks (Reacher and Ryan) will find something to enjoy in the violent infallibility of Reece. There is plenty of skull cracking and head shots. But the plot, in so much as there is one, will make about as much sense to viewers as it does to the heavily concussed Reece." Talking about positive reviews, Pratt's fans made sure that the actor felt loved. Hence, his army showered him with positive reviews. One user wrote, "Don't know if I'm late to the party but "The Terminal List" was goddamn excellent. I want all your reviews on it. What a show." Another user wrote, "Critics say its shit but I watched although a slow start I thoroughly enjoyed the show and felt fufilled by the end of the show."

One user came up with their own review and asked why the critics criticized the show so heavily saying, "Review: The Terminal List I wondered why critics gave low ratings to this & pointed out the usual liberal lingos. Show starts off slow but, kept getting better & better every episode. Lots of good action stunts & a good story. This is a truly Manly show! Do Watch it!" Another user wrote, "The Terminal List is really good. Critic reviews are horrible, but when you read them, boil down to "guns yucky, righteous violence problematic." John Wick, but IMO more impactful. Banger series, 10/10"

Maybe if you focused on the action, plot & had let your obsessive dislike of Chris Pratt not get in your way, you may have liked it,too."
