Killjoys slam Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky's son’s birthday cake prank
BYRON BAY, AUSTRALIA: Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky have reportedly come under fire for their parenting style after their twin boys' birthday celebration on Monday, March 20. The ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ star, 39, took to his Instagram to share an image of a fun family moment as he and his actress wife, 46, celebrated their sons, Tristan and Sasha’s ninth birthday at their $30 million Byron Bay mansion.
The fun picture captured Chris striking a twinkling smile as he watched Elsa pushing her son's face into a chocolate cake with the help of her daughter India. "Happy 9th birthday to my two little men! Only one way to eat cake in this house and that’s to have mum slam your head into it face first!!" he captioned his post. '"Hey mum I don’t like chocolate cake I prefer vanilla,"' he teased further. '"Oh really son, what about now?"'

“Stop shoving his face in the mud”
The post soon garnered immense social media attention, with many users wishing the twins. However, there were also some users who criticized Hemsworth and Pataky for participating in the birthday tradition. "Why people smash their kid's face in the cake is above my understanding but whatever," one person wrote. "Why do people think this is funny?" someone else chimed in while a third user said, “Stop it stop shoving his face in the mud!” “Not funny to do that let alone her own mom. A little girl lost an eye to that same 'grace' because in her cake there was a bamboo stick holding her. They don't promote such jokes” Another user asserted, according to Daily Mail.
The star couple, who tied the knot in December 2010, enjoys spending quality time with their children. The ‘Blackhat’ actor is often seen taking them on little surfing trips to local beaches near Byron Bay. He also encourages them to do other activities like mountain biking and skateboarding. Last year when Sasha and Tristan turned eight last year, Hemsworth shared an adorable throwback picture capturing his twin sons dressed up as his Marvel character Thor.
Hemsworth and Pataky's skincare brand goes bankrupt
Sasha and Tristan’s birthday celebration came just days after it was reported that the skincare company, Purely Byron, which was co-founded by Hemsworth and Pataky has gone bankrupt. Pataky, along with chief executive Jacqueline Rosen Weisz and brand director Kate Norbiato, launched the skincare brand in 2021, with Pataky serving as the face of the brand. Now, it was revealed that the company has entered administration. As MEAWW reported earlier, the administration process is being led by DW Advisory's Cameron Gray and Justin Holzman as appointed liquidators.
