'Blind bat b***es': Chaka Khan angry at Rolling Stone for placing her below Adele and Mary J Blige on 'The 200 Greatest Singers of All Time' list
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In Rolling Stone's latest list of the world's greatest singers, a feud between divas has erupted. Chaka Khan called out the editors, branding them as "blind b****es" and claiming that they "need hearing aids" for ranking her at No 29, behind Adele and Mary J Blige.
During an interview on Andrew Goldman's 'The Originals' podcast for Los Angeles Magazine, Khan expressed her frustration with Rolling Stone's ranking of "The 200 Greatest Singers of All Time". She criticized the placement of singers like Mariah Carey and Joan Baez, while praising Beyoncé and Aretha Franklin. Khan also expressed satisfaction with Whitney Houston ranking at No 2, stating, "Great... I'm the one who introduced her to [music mogul] Clive [Davis]." When asked about Adele's ranking at 22, Khan gave up, throwing her hands up and jokingly saying, "I quit." Upon learning that Mary J. Blige was ranked higher than her, Chaka had a strong reaction: "These b****es are blind as a motherf***ing bat! They need hearing aids. They don't have hearing aids? They have no eyes. They have no ears. They must have a - these b****es, you know what? These must be be the children of Helen Keller!"

Rolling Stone's 'The 200 Greatest Singers of All Time'
Rolling Stone's 2008 list of the 100 Greatest Singers used a complex voting process with input from famous musicians, but skewed toward classic rock and older artists. The latest list, however, compiled by staff and key contributors, covers a century of pop music as a global conversation. The new list celebrates the deep, emotional connection between artist and listener, and features the most original and influential voices with rich musical legacies. The criteria considered include originality, influence, catalog depth, and breadth of musical legacy. Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Sam Cooke were listed Top 3 in the list. Khan expressed her approval of the late Aretha Franklin's top ranking, saying, "As she should be. Thank you, there's justice somewhere!"
