Celebs slam Melania's speech calling her an 'illegal alien' and liar: 'Pretty sexy lying a*****e complicit pig'

Others like Adam Scott, Josh Charles and Dan Rather joined in to call out Melania Trump's RNC speech

First Lady Melania Trump recently gave a speech at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday, August 25. 

She was seen sporting a military-inspired jacket designed by Alexander McQueen and a matching skirt. She also sported a pair of Christian Louboutins. During her speech, the first lady said she admired her husband POTUS Donald Trump's approach in being straightforward to the public. "Whether you like it or not, you always know what he’s thinking," she said.

She also shared, "just as you are fighting for your families, my husband, our family and the people in this administration are here fighting for you. No matter the amount of negative or false media headlines or attacks from the other side, Donald Trump has not and will not lose focus on you."

"He loves this country and he knows how to get things done. As you have learned over the past five years, he's not a traditional politician. He doesn't just speak words. He demands action and he gets results," Melania had added. Her speech received many mixed views online besides being slammed by many celebrities. 

Bette Midler took to Twitter to share, "Why are they promoting this awful person, #melania? Was it in her contract? She says it feels like just yesterday they were at their first convention. Maybe to you, Mel. For the rest of us every day has been a horrible slog thru the 9th Circle of Hell. #beBust." 

Midler also dissed Melania's English speaking before tweeting, "Melania lacks warmth so severely that I just had to turn my AC down." Another one of her tweets read, "#beBest is back! A UGE bore! She can speak several words in a few languages. Get that illegal alien off the stage!"

Comedian Sarah Silverman also took to her Twitter handle to share, "I have to admit Melania is a pretty sexy lying a*****e complicit pig." While Adam Scott shared on his handle, "I don’t remember this Michelle Obama speech."

Actor Josh Charles wrote on Twitter, "You be best be fucking kidding me. Well at least no one can say Melania copped this speech. No sir, she owns this gem all by herself." Dan Rather shared, "There were a lot of pretty words in Melania Trump’s speech tonight. Unfortunately, we also have the last 3 plus years."

Melania's outfit received mixed reactions from social media users, some of whom praised her while some were disapproving. Musician Ben Lee seemed to be on the side of those who did not favor the look and commented saying, "Melanie going for a somewhat... severe look tonight. #brownshirt #trumpchaos." 

During the speech, Melania had also said, "Donald is a husband who supports me in all that I do. He has built an administration with an unprecedented number of women in leadership roles and has fostered an environment where the American people are always the priority. He welcomes different points of view and encourages thinking outside of the box. I know I speak for my husband and the family when I say we are so grateful that you have trusted him to be your president. And we will be honored to serve the incredible country for four more years."
