Elvira says the Los Feliz home she sold to Brad Pitt in the 90s is very 'HAUNTED'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cassandra Peterson, famously known as 'Elvira, Mistress of the Dark,' revealed that she warned Brad Pitt about the 'haunted' status of the Los Angeles home she sold him in 1994. However, instead of being frightened, Pitt was reported as 'very excited' about it. In an exclusive interview with People, Peterson recounted her conversations with Pitt about the strange happenings in the house. "We were just kind of warning him that a lot of weird things have been going on there in the house since we moved in," Peterson, 71, said. "And he was very excited about that. He thought that was cool."
Peterson further expressed her appreciation for Pitt's enthusiasm, stating that not many buyers would consider the supernatural activity as a selling point. "I love that he appreciated the house so much," she added. In addition to his fascination with potential paranormal activities, Peterson also admired Pitt's interest in the architectural beauty of the house, saying, "He's so interested in architecture and this house is just an exquisite house."

Spooky encounters in the haunted mansion
According to Peterson, strange events began to occur as soon as she and her ex-husband, musician Mark Pierson, moved into their 29-room mansion, which she later sold to Brad Pitt. Peterson, who recently came out as part of the LGBTQ+ community to her fans in 2021, is currently in a 21-year relationship with Teresa 'T' Wierson. "We had a priest come in to do an exorcism. I had all kinds of things because it was getting to a point of like, 'I don't know if I can continue to live here,'" Peterson shares in an exclusive interview with People.
She continues, "I've seen people walking around upstairs, for example, real people just walking. One time [a ghost was] sitting downstairs in front of the fireplace, once walking into my bedroom and back out. We saw a person floating around at the bottom of the pool, things like that." Despite the eerie encounters, Peterson clarifies that she is not prone to hallucinations and was not under the influence of any substances during these experiences. "I know that sounds nutty. I'm Elvira. I know you expect that from me, right?" she jokes. "But I can't explain those things."
Pitt sells sprawling Los Feliz estate
After nearly 30 years of ownership, actor Brad Pitt has sold his sprawling estate in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. The property, which sits on 1.9 acres of land, was reportedly being quietly shopped off-market for around $40 million earlier this year. Originally constructed in 1910 by an oil baron, Pitt extensively renovated and expanded the estate during his time there. It served as a home for him and his former wife Angelina Jolie, where they raised their six children and enjoyed amenities such as a skating rink, tennis court, swimming pool, Koi pond, skate park, motorcycle garage, ballroom, and movie theater. The estate is located near Jolie's home, which she purchased for $24.95 million in 2017 following the couple's separation in 2016.
