Speculation is rife that Meghan Markle wants to get back into showbiz and has asked her agents to find her a suitable role in a superhero film. Markle has been quite vocal about her wish to return to entertainment as she seeks financial independence, after quitting the royal etiquette.  Reportedly, she has signed a charity voiceover deal with Disney. The studio also owns Marvel and the rights to comic-book characters, which could lead the way for Markle.

Hence, we took it upon ourselves to create a list of superhero roles that could be perfect for her. Have a look:

Bumblebee

Scientist Karen Beecher was first introduced in 1976, girlfriend to Herald (Mal Duncan), who went on to create her own black and yellow super suit. She fought with the Teen Titans, then revealed her identity to them soon after - the Titans were so impressed, they let her join the team. In recent years, with the aging of the original Teen Titans, she tends to be portrayed as more of an adult, and a family woman - something superhero films have not yet had much of a chance to explore.

Lilandra

Marvel needs to start laying the groundwork for the X-Men sometime soon, given the Disney/Fox deal now allowing for that to happen. What better way than to introduce the Shi’ar? The cosmic, bird-influence space warrior civilization has ties to both Marvel’s best cosmic stories, and the X-Men’s. As a paramour of Charles Xavier, Liandra has been am important recurring character in the X-Men mythos.

Miss Martian

It is past time that DC got itself a Martian on the big screen - the Justice League just isn’t the same without the Martian Manhunter there. However, there’s more than on Martian that deserves more screen time. M'gann M'orzz, Miss Martian, is a member of the genocidal White Martian race, who is so ashamed of her people that she shapeshifts into the form of a green Martian, seeking out a better life. It’s a compelling story that we’ve seen play out on ‘Supergirl,’ but deserves the big-screen treatment.

Callisto

Even if you haven't read the comics, you might remember her from that one episode from animated 'X-Men: Evolution' and from the film 'X Men: The Last Stand'.  Callisto has a rather dark and heartbreaking story in the comics. After an accident leaves her blind in the right eye, Callisto rebels against society and goes underground. She organizes a community of outcast mutants called the Morlocks. Marvel hasn't yet fully explored the potential of Callisto in the films, and the character does deserve to be examined further.

Pixie

She is quite the fan-favorite. She made her comic book debut in 2004 and has been going strong since. This winged-fairy of a mutant has an affinity for magic. It will be interesting to see if she will ever be adapted to the big screen.
