'Bull' Season 5 Episode 6: When is Benny leaving the show? Upset fans plead 'please don't take him from us'

It seems as if we might have to say goodbye to Benny Colon (Freddy Rodriguez). In the latest episode, he seems to be mentoring Chunk (Christopher Jackson), who mentions that he is running for DA. Chunk is trying to help a doctor who is being sued for malpractice. At the moment, the doctor isn't looking so good as she is known for being a bit of a rebel and making decisions on her own terms, rather than caring about the welfare of her patients.

Doctor Kinsey made a difficult decision, as she had to choose between saving two patients. Benny teaches Chunk how to throw the "bank shot", and not be over-confident in this case. However, Chunk goes "rogue" in the episode, and Bull is furious with him. It doesn't make for a good situation that Benny is running for DA, and Chunk is in a world of his own. It remains to be seen whether Chunk can keep a cool head and fight a case, step into Benny's shoes, or go off on a tangent.

Benny's departure was first hinted at in Episode 2. After a court case, while Chunk was busy licking his wounds over Benny's prowess at court, Benny was approached at the end by a man, who asked him if he would like to run for District Attorney. 

Bull features Michael Weatherly as Dr Jason Bull in a drama inspired by the early career of Dr Phil McGraw, the founder of one of the most prolific trial-consulting firms of all time. Smart as a tick and charming, Bull combines psychology, human intuition and high-tech data to understand jurors, attorneys and witnesses. In the latest season, Bull struggles with his personal life as he balances fatherhood along with his renewed relationship with Izzy Colon (Yara Martinez), his ex-wife.

'Bull' airs on CBS on Mondays at 10 pm.
