PUBLISHED AUG 28, 2019

CBS's legal drama 'Bull' was renewed for a fourth season and will be hitting small screens this September. The network greenlit the drama for one more season after the leading man of the show, Michael Weatherly, was accused of sexual harassment by former co-star Eliza Dushku, who ultimately reached a $9.5 million settlement with CBS.

Here's what we know so far about the upcoming installment:

Release date

The drama is set to premiere on September 23, 2019, on CBS.

Plot

Let's go back to what the series offered initially — cases of espionage, family deals gone sour and a bunch of cases that need an impeccable eye for detail. The series has always been about separate cases and follows the employees at Trial Analysis Corporation (TAC), a jury consulting firm headed by Dr. Jason Bull — a psychologist and trial science expert. Bull uses his skills and those of his team not only to select the right jurors for his clients but to help his clients' lawyers decide which type of argument will win over jurors best.

Writer/Director

Paul Attanasio, Phil McGraw, and Jay McGraw will return as Executive Producers. Following the renewal, it was announced EPs Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Steven Spielberg along with would be departing the series after the third season following the harassment controversy.

Trailer

At the moment, there is no trailer available for the show, but with the show premiering in September, we might get the footage out by the start of the month. Watch this space for more updates.

News

Ahead of the renewal, Kelly Kahl, CBS Entertainment President said, "Michael made a mistake in his comments (to Dushku). He owned that mistake. He was apologetic at the time, and he was remorseful," Kahl said. "He was willing to take any kind of coaching or training we deem necessary for him to create a positive environment on the set."

"When we looked at the totality of the situation, we felt comfortable bringing 'Bull' back on the air," Kahl said.
