South Korea's beloved boy band BTS are set to make an appearance on KBS News 9 for a special interview. The exclusive interview will be held with anchor Lee Sojung and will take place on September 10 at 9 pm KST / 8 am ET.

According to info shared by newsgroup Korea Dispatch on Instagram, KBS said, "We will broadcast from the moment BTS arrive at the studio and having a live interview" after their announcement: "BTS will be on today’s nine o’clock KBS News 9 and will have an interview with the main anchor Lee Sojung." According to broadcast officials, the mega K-pop group will be updating fans on their plans for the rest of the year and more in the interview.

BTS released their latest smash single 'Dynamite' along with its accompanying music video on August 21, much to the excitement of fans. Since then the track has been a massive success, seeing 265,000 downloads in its first week, marking the biggest pure sales week since Taylor Swift's 2017 track, 'Look What You Made Me Do'.

Additionally, on August 31, Billboard revealed that 'Dynamite' took the crown at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two straight weeks, notably making BTS the first all-South Korean act to top the Hot 100. Furthermore, the 'Dynamite' music video surpassed 100 million views on YouTube within a little more than 24 hours of its debut.

For the BTS Army, the success of the song shouldn't stop there and recently the hashtag "Dynamite going up" started trending on Twitter. As fans may have guessed, the upcoming interview will highlight their huge milestone on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as the band will share their feelings on it and thank their fans.

For those unfamiliar with the program, KBS Nine O'Clock News (aka KBS News 9) is the flagship newscast aired on KBS1 every night at 9 pm KST. The program is seen across South Korea, with additional viewing access on KBS World service which provides headline tickers in English throughout the newscast.

Other than special features like the upcoming BTS interview, the newscast has news, sports, weather, health, society, as well as other topics. It first premiered on August 31, 1964, as a short news bulletin, but it later expanded and became KBS News 9, which premiered in 1973.

For those eager for new music, according to the US BTS Army, the group is working on a new full-length album said to be set for release in the second half of the year. Hopefully, the new interview will reveal more details on the new LP or any other music they have in store for fans. Read our review on 'Dynamite' here.
