How much does BTS 'BE' (Deluxe Edition) cost? Fans want a Standard Edition to replace 'expensive' version

The global K-pop sensation and supergroup BTS is coming back with their next album ‘BE’ (Deluxe Edition) on November 20. However, fans are wondering if they will get a standard edition later as the Deluxe edition is very expensive for a lot of people. Many BTS fans, known as ARMY, took to social media to ask Big Hit Entertainment if there would be an alternate album. BTS has released the entire tracklist for their upcoming album on November 10, which would comprise of eight songs, including their Billboard Hot 100 #1 song 'Dynamite'.
The tracklist shows a range of emotions that encompass the feeling of “Life Goes On”, the title track of the album. The song list includes, ‘Life Goes On’, ‘Fly to My Room’, ‘Blue & Grey’, ‘Skit’, ‘Telepathy’, ‘Dis-ease’, ‘Stay’ and ‘Dynamite’. On the digital cover of the album, it reads, "Life goes on / Like an echo on the forest / Like an arrow in the blue sky / On my pillow, on my table / Life goes on like this again."

While BTS' ARMY is counting the days to the date of the album's release, some fans are of the opinion that a standard version can be released later. A fan wrote on Twitter, “We don't know yet, but as the album says 'deluxe edition' everyone thinks there will be a standard version releasing later". Another fan asked, “What about the standard edition album? Can we get our 7M goal in only a week? Concerned bc i know this album will be great!!!!!! #BTS_BE @BTS_twt”

The high price point of the album made a lot of ARMY optimistic thinking that a standard version can be on the way. “Bighit must be planning on releasing the standard version of BTS album on release date. Can’t be just the deluxe version cz it’s expensive and ppl broke. I mean I ordered but I actually thought twice about it”

Fans also shared that releasing only an expensive Deluxe version doesn’t sit right with the large base of BTS fans as many find the Deluxe edition unattainable. "This is my only issue. I understand a deluxe version with everything that costs $50 bc it has 2 concepts in one album (1 concept version of MOTS:7 costs $25), but releasing JUST that option feels odd bc is just an EP with 6 new songs. I know it can be BTS idea but it feels odd," a fan wrote. While another shared, “I know they wanted to share more of their involvement of the album from pictures to handwritten lyrics but it’s still a bit odd to charge $50. It’s just an odd strategy.” Another Tweeter user said, “Exactly, it feels strange I have deluxe merch in a video game (it is an example) and it contains much more content, but this deluxe album leaves a bad taste in the mouth. First no one is going to pay +” adding, “for such an expensive album and secondly, not seeing a standard there will be a total imbalance.”
“I totally agree, the album itself is beautiful, how do you say that they put out a more favorable album so that people can buy it and if they don't, the fandom will be very unhappy with what they did bh”

Also, BTS has come forward and stated this album to be extremely personal, the most personal that they have ever gotten. This seems to be conflicting with Big Hit’s selling point. Twitter users point out.

While others believe that there is no standard version coming. The rest will be digital, “Honestly, I don't think there will be standard or regular album and its a theory so far. Like last comeback on mvs has fancy name such as prima something but it was still an mv. Deluxe edition MIGHT just be a fancy name and they are doing it differently this time.”
Another said, "unless they only put out the deluxe edition album and the standard one is just digital. this is how they get lots of money out of people bc people want to buy a physical copy so they might only make the deluxe version that could be why they’ve announced this one only so far."
